13th National Service Reunion – 2018 Hervey Bay QLD

An informal Reunion of 13th intakers is being organised for the period  16 -17 JULY 2018 at Hervey Bay

It is planned to be a pay as you go social event with relaxed venues to be enjoyed with a partners and catching up to many not seen for 50 years.

It will be important, although its an informal get together, to have some ideas on numbers so the organisers may look for appropriate venues.

Be aware that school holidays finish on that weekend so accommodations may be a little cheaper from  16th onwards.

11th National Service Intake – 50th Reunion

 

This 50th Anniversary Reunion covers everyone who was called up in the 11th Intake regardless of whether you did your Recruit Training in Singleton, Kapooka or Puckapunyal.

The Reunion is to be held at Kingscliff at the Kingscliff Beach Bowling Club and the Cudgen Leagues Club from 07 to 09 February 2018

NOTICE – 11th National Service Intake 50th Anniversary Reunion

After initial “expressions of interests” were invited in the Vet Affairs bulletin Notice Board in April this year, a considerable amount of interest was shown by former members of the 11th Intake, to hold a 50th Anniversary Reunion.

Of these, several members have shown keen interest in forming a committee to “make this happen’ as an event, but also to form an 11th Intake Association similar to the www.tenthintake.com.au . Currently there are some 40 names of members listed as interested, and in light of that, the formation committee has found a suitable venue to hold an Inaugural Anniversary reunion.

WHO QUALIFIES:

Any former 11th Intake member who marched in on the 7th February 1968 into Singleton, Kapooka or Puckapunyal, as well as Partners, Family members of Living or Deceased, also former Recruit and Corps Training Battalion personnel.

WHERE

Kingscliffe Beach Bowling Club, on the Tweed Coast about 15km from Gold Coast /Coolangatta airport and approximately 15 mins from Tweed RSL. (Around town) courtesy bus available.

WHEN

Wednesday 7th February , 4 pm, Informal “Meet and Greet”, the club has excellent dining facilities so it’s your choice how you spend the evening catching up with lost mates! Bring lots of pictures!!

Thursday 8th February: 10.30 am, Official Welcome and Tribute to fallen mates, followed by a “gentle” session of coffee, Bistro lunch and a  “quiet “one, not too heavy as remember Dinner tonight.   Welcome to our 5.30 pm(by self),Pre Dinner drinks and Reunion Dinner commencing at 6.30pm

Friday 9th February  10.30 am “Recovery and Farewell” session at the club at your leisure.

COSTS

Dinner Table Service, 3 Course Reunion Dinner including Tea, Coffee and dinner roll $60.00p.p. all other Bistro meals by self.

ACCOMMODATION

Some Accommodation is currently available for a 3 night Studio Cabin for 2 people @ $ 40.00 p.p. per night A Luxury Beachfront apartment for 3 nights that sleeps 5 guests for $37.00 pp per night. Because School Holidays are over, Kingscliffe has lots of motel , caravan and resort accommodation available as well as the usual Air Bnb and Stayz on the web.
