The Senate Inquiry has been Extended. On 26 September 2025, the Committee agreed to extend the presentation of the final report to 12 December 2025 and reopen submissions to 24 October 2025.

All correspondence and evidence previously received for this inquiry as part of the 47th Parliament has been made available to the committee. This means that submissions already provided to the committee do not need to be re-submitted. The committee has the power to refer to the evidence received during the 47th Parliament.

Public hearing has been scheduled for Friday 14 November 2025, however, witnesses and the program for this hearing has not yet been released.
